Corsair Vengeance RAM low profile 1600mHz DDR3 – 12/10/12

The picture shown below is Corsair vengeance low profile 8GB 2x4GB dual channel kit

It’s just ram and the only special thing about it is the brand name, heatsinks and lifetime warranty. Any ram module purchased from Corsair is covered by a lifetime warranty, so Gskill decided to up their game as well and decided to offer that same warranty.

The low profile is designed for big heatsinks, where the fans for CPU would block the way of the normal Vengeance series. With a powder painted heatsink to finish the aesthetics, looks are amazing, and do is performance.

It runs at 1600mHz with timings of 9-9-9-24 with CAS9 latency, which is again, standard for 1600mHz ram. 8GB is enough for Battle field 3 and 892 chrome pages (which you’ll never be able to fill). Many people say 8GB is too much, but I think it’s enough to future proof.

The only bad thing about it is that it can’t be over clocked to 1800,1866 or whatever. It stays at 1600 and that’s that.

RAM prices are dropping and becoming cheaper in terms of DDR3, so build a system soon or else DDR4 will become standard soon.
