I posted recently about a battery powered router and I finally got the parts to start the project.

Starting off, I used a 3.7v battery pulled from an old power screwdriver.

I rewired the battery to be flat instead of bunched up like a square.

I solder terminals to the DC plug so there is a spot for the battery to connect to.

I drill a hole for the battery charger jack and glue the PCB in place.

This is the simple layout. However, more voltage is needed.

A step up DC-DC converter is needed, so I ordered one off eBay, where input is variable and output can be set.

The DC voltage required is 9v. This step up converter easily handles that.

Covered up and no plugs needed (other than ethernet).
